The letter
Effective immediately, I am resigning. I have raised the on-call burden, the silent rewrites, and the design reviews that aren't reviews — privately, then in writing, then in the channel where the leadership team said they wanted to hear it. None of those conversations changed anything. The next conversation I'm willing to have about it is this one. I wish the team well. They have always been the reason to stay. They are not the reason to keep staying. — K.
The story
I stayed for the team for years. I'm leaving for the team now. Half of them texted me within an hour to ask which company I was going to. I'm not going to a company. I'm going home.
